Growing up in Perth, I worked blue collar jobs. Farms and factories is where I cut my teeth. After relocating to Melbourne, I shifted into healthcare, working in Critical Care and Emergency Services in hospitals and remote minesites. Throughout this journey I saw too many people suffering from preventable issues. This sparked my focus on prevention through Public Health.
I have since worked on:
Suicide Prevention strategy with the World Health Organisation
Trauma Research with Monash University
Managing the Movember Foundation's $40 million portfolio of Mental Health projects in Australia and New Zealand.
Delivering 500+ masculinity and mental health workshops across WA, working with over 10,000 people through Tomorrow Man
In my spare time, I like officiating wedding ceremonies, being the weird-Uncle to my nieces and nephews and mountain-biking through the bush with only the bare necessities - a hammock, a sleeping bag and a bad moustache.
